The previous Saturday some of us gathered at the Jubilee Gardens to put together a creative way to spread the word upon the environmental crisis. Taking the shape of “the most important number of the world” says Bianca Jagger, we aimed to raise the alarm upon cutting carbon emission while the Copenhagen meeting is just around the corner.
Here’s a photo from Sydney, London and Copenhagen all together:

What does 350 ppm mean? It represents the parts per million scientists have identified as the safe upper limit for CO2 in our atmosphere. Therefore today it constitutes a goal our governments have to strive for.
350.org is an international campaign dedicated to building a movement to unite the world around solutions to the climate crisis – the solutions that science and justice demand.
On the 24th of October there were events and projects all over the world to show this global concern during the International day of climate action. Over 181 countries came together and took part in “the most widespread day of environmental action in the planet’s history”.
We all made quite an impression says Bill McKibben, writer and founder of the organization, and the press broadly picked up on the movement.
